W.J. "Buster" Brooks

Buster's Bookshelf was named in memory of W. J. "Buster" Brooks.  He was the grandfather of the owner, Amber (Pollitt) Gallagher.  Amber named the store after her grandfather because her fondest memories of him are when he would set her on his lap and read and sing to her as a child.  She has grown to love reading and especially children's literature.  She wants to pass this love of reading on to all children.  She hopes that you too will chose to share the love of a book with a child.

It's enough for you to do it once for a few men to remember you.  But if you do it year after year, then many people remember you and they tell it to their children, and their children and grandchildren remember and, if it concerns books, they can read them.  And if it's good enough, it will last as long as there are human beings.
