this checklist for a scavenger hunt!
Pool: Take a picture to show how much fun you are
having. While you are there find out what it takes to become a lifeguard.
Does that sound like a cool job to you? Why or why not?
Park: Collect leaves from 5 different trees
Contact you local Parks and Recreation Department. Learn what your city's arborist
does. Do you know anyone who might be good at taking care of plants, trees and
flowers?
Restaurant: Something that shows you have tasted
a wonderful meal ___ .
If you had to work in a restaurant, would you rather be the cook, waiter or cleaner?
Why?
Library: Evidence that you read at least five
books. Do librarians have to go to college? What does your librarian like the
most about his/her job?
Zoo: A map of the zoo with your favorite area
circled. List as many occupations found at a zoo as you can.
Neighborhood: Tree, leaf and grass rubbings from
your neighborhood. Interview someone on your block (with your parents' permission).
Write a brief description of what they do for a living.
Other: Collect an artifact from a place of your
choice (example-Worlds of Fun, Royals Game, Vacation) Find the coolest job you could
do from your choice.
